King Tuts tomb was the first tomb to be found completely sealed. Although there was evidence that the tomb had been visited by laborious robbers, the tomb still contained many of its treasures. The tomb consisted of several house and passageways. In the one of the chambers they discovered gold furnishing, nigh shaped like animals. There were also two statutes of the King that faced toward one another and guarded the entrance to the burial chamber which had the Kings body.
The burial chamber contained iv shrines, made of gold, wood and porcelain, which protected the stone coffin that is called a sarcophagus. Inside the sarcophagus, there were smaller coffins. The final coffin that held King Tuts body was solid gold. Beneath the wrappings that they put on King Tuts body they found a sell gold mask that covered his face and over cytosine pieces of jewelry made of gold and precious stones. There was also a separate chamber that had jars that held King Tuts organs which had been removed from his body when he was being preserved. The tomb, the shrines, and the treasures that were buried with King Tut showed us how important the royals were to Egypt and the
burial rituals that the Egyptians use for Pharaohs like King Tut.
