The MID keep in its mission throughout the Spanish American war and the Philippine War of 1899-1902.
Further jumps in technology and to a greater extent field experience continued to benefit this organization. By 1908 tuner communications were the standard. Being able to transmit, receive and intercept transmissions at an intercontinental range was possible due to the breakthroughs in emptiness tube technology. Also at this time the MID’s duties were reassigned to the Military Information Committee. This made the MID a non separatist organization.
