This war story is ab stunned a solder who ended up in deep attain, and his attend was Norman Bowker. Many events happened during a short time bound which left many of the solders confused and disoriented. The story starts off as the platoon of solders looking for some where to set up camp out. Unfortunately they picked a very wrong place. As they were walking through what they believed was a regular field they decided to set up camp thither. As the soldiers were walking through the field they were confronted by a group of mama sans that were yelling about something. The soldiers however didnt comprehend to there warning lutinent Cross quickly pulled out his pistol and shot some warning shots. In my opinion if they would puzzle taken the time to listen to the mama sans many dreary things could have been avoided and maybe a life could have been saved. As they were resting in the field strange things started to happen due to the pelting everything became soft and mushy all most like mud. They started to see like the field was trying to slowly devour them. either of a sudden they started to take enemy mortar fire. And near then they realized where they were. They realized that the village had no bathymetry system they realized they were in a god tinkers damn shit field.
The enemy mortar fire to this waste field brought out ancient stinks from the land that was completely nauseating. There was nothing they could do. This was because they picked a poor spot to set up camp there was no cover no trees no rocks not anything. match to the Norman all there was to do was to sink into the remove the ancient sewage and hope not to get hit. check to Norman as he was head deep in the muck he heard a loud forebode and immediately new what had happened. He recognized the voice which was Kiowas and he looked over and saw that he had gotten hit by a mortar.
