Figurative Language Versus Literal Language
Figurative and Literal language is a distinction in traditional systems for analyzing language. Figurative language refers to words, and groups of words, that exaggerate or alter the commonplace meanings of the component words. Figurative language is a word or phrase that departs from everyday verbal language for the sake of comparison, emphasis, clarity, or freshness. Whenever you describe somewhatthing by comparability it with something else, figurative language is used. However, literal language refers to words that do not deviate from their defined meaning.
In this paper, I will define and give examples of some of the figurative and literal words.
Similes and Metaphors be both ways of comparability two things that seem to be very different.  They do their comparing in different ways.
