The Komsomol was the young person division of the Soviet commie Party.
Although the Komsomol had very little direct influence on the tangible decision making process of the Russian Communist Party, rank and file proved to be an effective means in sorrowful up the ranks of the Soviet hierarchy. Furthermore, the Komsomol employed thousands of young individuals to be the ideological apparatus of the Soviet Communist ships company by belief and coercing other youth to follow communist principles (McAuley 1992: 85). Lectures were given throughout society on the fundamental principles on which the communist party was founded on.
